All cardiologists in the branch of medicine study the heart’s disorders, but it does not require the same training to study adult and child heart disorders. An adult cardiologist, or simply a cardiologist, is therefore insufficiently trained to care for children and pediatric cardiologists are not trained to treat adult heart disease.
